Grace Through Grief: To the Single Mothers Making Christmas Happen Anyway

Shout-out to every single mother who makes Christmas happen on her own every single year.

No traditional backup.

No excuses.

No applause.

Just grace through grief and getting it DONE.

This time of year is heavy in ways people don’t always acknowledge. There’s the joy we’re expected to manufacture, the magic we’re supposed to deliver, and the emotional labor no one sees—especially when you’re parenting solo. Especially when loss, abandonment, financial strain, or survival mode have been part of your reality.

I see you.

I see the women who push through exhaustion because their kids deserve joy.

I see the women who show up smiling while carrying grief quietly in their bodies.

I see the women who became the plan because there was no one else.

And if nobody has said it out loud yet, let me be very clear:

You are doing the DAMN THING, ma — and you’re doing it WELL. Period.

Not perfectly. Not effortlessly.

But faithfully. Intentionally. With love.

Merry everything.

Goodwill to good people.

And extra love to the women holding it all together with both hands.

XO 💋
